Rule of Thumb for StreamingNew Movie Releases
When you are using the Movie Apps (Cinema or Cyberflix), most movies will be available to stream. But to be clear, NOT EVERY MOVIE is available to stream, especially those that have been released in the last 3 months. You may see a banner for a new film, but it usually takes 2-3 months for that film to get a digital release--we do our best post a list of the most recent New Movie Release Schedule. But not to worry, the majority of new movies will eventually have a digital release, just maybe not at the speed that you would like.
The rule of thumb is this... If the film is over 3 months old, most likely that film should be in the movie apps. If it's under 3 months old and still playing in theaters, chances are that film will not be available until it gets an official digital release. Sometimes movies get released in movie theaters and a week or two later, those films will also get a streaming release, (for example, the new Martin Scorsese Film, "Killers of the Flower Moon" will be released in October in select theaters, one week later it will get an official release on Apple TV, so that movie will be available on the movie apps.

Wifi Cable TV Version 6.0 is now available.
If your Wifi Cable TV application is freezing, experiencing more than usual buffering, kicking you out of a channel, or just not updating the Electric Program Guide efficiently, you should upgrade to version 6.0
Check to see if you have the most recent version of Wifi Cable TV by following the directions below:
Click on Settings
Go to My Fire TV and Click
Go to Developer Options and Click
Enable “Apps from Unknown Source” and turn ON
Click home button on Firestick remote
Go into Wifi Cable TV App and go to main screen.
Go to “Settings” Tab in the lower right corner and click
Click on the App tab in the top left corner and it should prompt you to see if you are using the most current version. Click
If it says that you need to update, click and it will take you through the steps. It will prompt you to install the new version and then click “open” and it should update for you. If for some reason it doesn’t, please repeat the process. All your “favorites” should still be saved.
Click on Home button again
Go back to Settings and Click
Go back to Developer Options and click
Make sure Apps from Unknown Sources is OFF
Then to make sure you have the newest version, click on “Settings“ on your Firestick, go to “Applications” and Click. Go to “Manage Applications” and Click and scroll down to “Wifi Cable TV“ and just highlight the app (Don’t click on it) and to the right in the grey area it should say Version 6.0.
